Job Summary:

The Clinical Aide is responsible for monitoring the therapeutic milieu and client activities, responding to client’s crises and emergencies as needed, transporting clients to outside activities, evening AA meetings, and appointments as needed. This position requires the individual to possess good communication skills and boundaries within the scope and setting of the therapeutic community. This position assures a safe and drug free environment and provides Life Skills and self-help group education.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current Virginia Driver License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Peer Recovery Specialist Certification preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum one (1) year experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• Knowledge of addiction treatment and of 12 Step recovery process preferred
• Certified in First Aid and CPR within 3 months of hire

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, shift work 7:00am-3:30pm or 11:00pm-7:30am, holidays and weekends.
